What To Know. Frequently Asked Questions

  • How old should players be to play?

    • Our games are best for players 7 and up. It's highly advise that no one under 5 participates without the assistance of an older player. 

  • How long does one game take?

    • Depending on the scenario a game can take anywhere from 5 to 7 minutes.

  • How many players should I have at my event? 

    • As many as you like! Keep in mind though the more we have to rotate players, the less play time each player gets and we would be unable to conduct certain scenarios.

  • Do players need to wear anything specific?

    • Players should wear clothing comfortable to move around in. Footwear is required, shoes preferred.

  • Do you do events in Los Angeles?

    • Events only hosted at residential or private properties. At this time we are unable to conduct events at parks in LA. 

  • What happens if it rains?

    • Our system can still operate in a light to moderate rain. It is merely a matter of if the players are permitted to play in the rain.

  • What if I need to cancel?

    • If a cancellation needs to be made we ask for a cancellation call to be made no later than 3 hours prior to our scheduled arrival time. If cancelation is made within 3 hours prior to our scheduled arrival time will result in deposit being non-refundable. If an event is canceled during hours of conduction, then the price is prorated.

  • What if I need to reschedule?

    • Please contact us as soon as you can. We will do our best to find a date and time to best suit your needs. Rescheduling is also subject to availability.

  • What do I need to set up an event at a park?

    • We recommend to contact the park and recreation department of your city to find out which parks permit laser tag. If the city needs proof of insurance we can provide that at no additional cost.

  • What kind of surfaces can Lazer Xpress set up on?

    • Grass is the preferred, we can also set up on concrete and dirt. Sand and snow do not make a great set-up or playing surface. 

  • How big of an area do I need for the playing field?

    • We recommend a minimum area of 50'(L) by 30'(W). If you do not have an open rectangular area, we can customize the field to best fit the open area you do have. 

  • Can I book additional hours the day of the event?

    • Additional hours must be booked prior to event. 

  • I'm another party service, can I book Lazer Xpress for my clients?

    • Lazer Xpress has specific policies when working with third-party services. Please contact us.   

  • Is it best to do this during the day or night?

    • Both! We come out day or night, most of our events do take place during the day. For night events we attach flashlights to the laser tag equipment to help light up the field.

  • Can we play music and set up special lighting?

    • Loud music and special effect lighting will inhibit the players ability to fully enjoy the game play. We highly discourage use of black lights, strobe lights, dj lighting, fog machines, and loud music. Though it may sound like a good idea, trying to make a mobile set up resemble a fixed laser tag center does not work out very well.
